heheh pi langs!
thought u would be online like now, so surprised ure not..heh just reached home from collecting ah gongs ashes and putting it in a temple..
i shall update u on what we did for the past few days! friday night we burnt all the paper stuff we folded for arh gong, plus a huge paper house, mercedes and many electrical appliances. i still rmbr the car no. is 2527, can buy 4D! haha. it was damn hot and sweaty, coz the fire was huge, so kong buus. then mapas stayed overnight while i lazy went home to sleep.. then yesterday was the "chu bing" day, last day of the funeral.. we had to endure nearly 2hrs of pacing around in the void deck while the priest chanted stuff.. then throw the kim zhuas all the floor, such a huge mess! all the papers swirling abt at our feet, then still have to kneel on them after tt for some more baibai-ing. then we had to walk in socks on the rough gravel road behind the van for a few metres before we went to mandai crematory..
the crematory is surprisingly posh and well furnished! it looks abit like a church frm outside, then inside all got aircon. we proceeded into a room which has a huge glass window whuch we can all look down at the burning area. reminds me of the zoo enclosure, those penguin viewing areas, coz got one handle bar at the front and seats at the back, and the aircon mysteriously cold. i thot i wud see flames bursting out from the ground but it was far frm what i imagined! we could see the coffin being pushed by a eletronic device towards the burning chamber, then the doors would close before we could see it burn. everyone was crying like mad when the coffin was being pushed. i finally cried! it's so heartbreaking to know that arh gongs will be burnt, like so horrible.. that gu gu IS SUCH A HYPOCRITE. shall complain to u abt her tonight. she was bawling non-stop since she entered the crematory, all the crocodile tears coz it sounds so fake as usual. then ma keep on complaining abt her to me also, the usual gugu gossip. haha i think i wont have anythg against gugu if not for ma, coz she's the one who has been spoiling my impression of gugu since young :D
today we went back to the crematory to collect the ashes. ive always thought that the ashes would be in powder form, coz somehow after burning nth wud be left what! but the ashes were not powerdery at all! it's literally like crushed bones, white and brittle, feels and looks like clay! it was in a plastic tupperware container, then we went into a private room to open it and pack into the urn. the worker took out the big, identifiable pieces of the bone and placed them a red cloth, seperating the cranium, hands and feet bones. it all looked so terrifying, first time ever i was looking at human bones! i was damn scared, even ziqin had to tell me not to be scared haha. each person was supposed to pick up a piece of the bone and place it into the urn. after that, we went to cck temple where the urn wud be placed, and the locker-like thg sealed. next time when u come back must be sure to visit arh gong, can see his foto on the stone wall kind of thg, with the fake (cannot put fresh ones!) flowers beside it..
we then went back to the house after alot of bowing and prayers, and we were finally free to go..but they still needed to go back to the temple at 2pm for another prayer session, for 7 more days, the adults.. as for the grandchildren we dun hv to..
these few days have been reallllly tiring and taxing, esp on pa and ma since they have to stay overnight and all... i see pa like vry tired, so exhausted he's not working today alr, wna come home and rest.. even though i nv do alot but also vry tired leh dunno y, keep sleeping non stop yest and nv study AT ALL. ARGHHHH vry worried for my studies. i better not go out anymore, chiong home to study everyday after sch starting tmr. theses few days did abit of bonding wiv our cousins too, chat alot wiv ziqin. but i quite antisocial at times leh, nv talk much wiv the rest. hahah i will slip into shy and antisocial mode most of the time, when im not in the mood. have to feel perky first before i will get high and talk to ppl. i feel i shud interact more! like not friendly enuf leh. shall set a resolution to be super sociable :D
